Court-Mandated Mediation for Former Couple
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Annemarie Wiley and her estranged husband, Marcellus Wiley, have been ordered to enter mediation to resolve disputes regarding the custody and visitation of their three minor children. According to legal documents obtained by the press, the primary objective of this process is to establish a comprehensive parenting plan.
The couple, who share 10-year-old Marcellus Jr. and daughters Ariya, 7, and Alivia, 6, are required to complete these sessions prior to their scheduled court appearance on July 24. A video conference has been arranged for July 22, during which a mediator will assist the parents in reaching a formal agreement.
Alternatively, the court has provided the pair with the option to utilize an online program to resolve custody arrangements independently. Should they fail to reach a mutual agreement through the digital platform, the mandatory video conference remains a requirement.
Divorce Filing and Allegations
Annemarie Wiley officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles on July 6, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who married in June 2014, is now facing a contentious split. In her initial filing, Annemarie requested both legal and physical custody of the children, along with spousal support and the coverage of her legal fees. Furthermore, she requested a domestic violence restraining order, alleging a history of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
These legal actions followed an incident in Florida, where police records indicate that Marcellus was arrested following an altercation at a hotel. In her witness statement to law enforcement, Annemarie alleged that her husband had threatened her life.
Response from Marcellus Wiley
Marcellus Wiley has categorically denied all allegations of abuse. In a public statement issued via social media, he emphasized his devotion to his children and his commitment to protecting their well-being. He stated, “My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents.”
Addressing the divorce proceedings, Marcellus expressed his intention to defend himself against what he termed “baseless claims.” He announced plans to present evidence, including correspondence and digital media, which he maintains will contradict the accusations made by Annemarie. Additionally, he accused his estranged wife of infidelity and engaging in hostile behavior toward his family members.
Marcellus concluded his remarks by asserting his role as a father, stating, “I am their hero, and now I am fighting to make sure the positive and real image they know of me is the one that endures.”
