A Challenging Medical Routine
Brandi Glanville, known for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is pulling back the curtain on the difficult health journey she has been navigating. The 53-year-old reality personality recently shared a video on social media revealing the toll her medical treatments have taken on her appearance and well-being.
Glanville explained that she is currently adhering to a rigorous 18-hour daily intravenous infusion schedule. In the video, she displayed her slim frame while managing the setup for her medication, specifically mentioning the antibiotic Imipenum. "I know I’m so skinny right now. I can’t eat because the things I do… decrease my food. I feel like death. I look like death," she admitted to her followers.
Regarding her complex regimen, she described the process of managing the infusions, noting:
"I had to learn to do all these with the nurse. Now she comes four hours a day in the evenings to do my other IV, but I have to do this IV before she comes... and I have that overnight. 18 hours a day. It’s a lot of setup."
Living Behind Closed Doors
Glanville clarified that the video served as a glimpse into a much larger narrative that she has kept private. "For the first time, I’m showing you what my life has really looked like behind closed doors. The treatments. The IVs. The exhaustion. The days nobody saw," she shared, adding that she is not yet prepared to discuss the full extent of her health situation.
Her health concerns have been a topic of discussion for some time. In a previous episode of her podcast, Unfiltered, she mentioned that a non-cancerous tumor might be contributing to physical issues, such as facial swelling that makes wearing makeup difficult for extended periods.
Looking Toward Stability
While navigating these medical hurdles, Glanville has sought to improve her living situation to aid her recovery. She previously noted that moving to a new home was a step toward a "fresh start," explaining that the new environment has been instrumental in helping her establish a calmer routine and focus on her well-being.
In addition to these recent health updates, Glanville has also been vocal about past experiences, including a 2009 surgical procedure. She revealed that she underwent vaginal rejuvenation surgery following comments made by her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, regarding the physical changes she experienced after childbirth.
