During the 2026 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards held on Sunday, May 17, 27-year-old country star Ella Langley experienced a profound moment of vulnerability. While accepting the prestigious Female Artist of the Year award, the singer struggled to find words, clearly overcome by the magnitude of the recognition.


Langley shared her internal struggles during the broadcast, noting that the pressure of award ceremonies often brings unique challenges.

«I’m trying to say something, but I can’t. Thank you. To the women in this category, to the women in this life, this is a weird thing to do. Today I was having a strange day. I don’t know what it is about awards, but I have strange days in the mornings here.»

The artist expressed that it was the camaraderie of her fellow nominees that helped ground her during the ceremony. While artist Megan Moroney was also a contender in the category, she was absent from the event to serve as a maid of honor at a close friend’s wedding.
