From Reality TV to Parenthood
Life after the Love Island UK villa has led many former contestants to trade party lifestyle for nursery duties. Several stars have started families, either with partners they met on the show or with significant others they connected with after their time in the spotlight.
Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey
The winners of Season 2, Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, have established a happy family of four. They welcomed their son, Freddie, in December 2017, followed by their daughter, Delilah, in July 2020. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, has been open about the challenges and rewards of raising children.
In a 2021 interview, De La Hoyde shared some advice for new mothers:
“Try and listen to what your body is telling you and pace yourself to match your energy levels. Now obviously there will be times where your body says nap but baby says no, but the times you’re lucky enough to have a spare couple of hours, make sure you’re staying in tune with yourself so you’re nice and energized when you really need to be!”
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt
Another beloved pair, Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, who found love during Season 3 in 2017, have also grown their household significantly. Their daughter Nell was born in October 2020, followed by the arrival of their second daughter, Nora, in May 2022.
The couple continued to expand their family shortly thereafter, announcing in December 2023 that they were expecting their third child. Their son was successfully welcomed into the world in May 2024.
Many other alumni from the hit reality series have also ventured into parenthood, marking a significant transition from their time in the Spanish villa.
