A Personal Mission to Give Back
Alex Cooper, the 31-year-old host of the popular Call Her Daddy podcast, is embracing a new chapter as she prepares for motherhood. Expecting her first child with husband Matt Kaplan, the star has decided to channel her experiences into supporting her community of listeners. Since announcing her pregnancy in May, Cooper has used her platform to openly share the highs and lows of her journey, frequently turning to her audience for advice and support.
From Secret Acts of Kindness to Official Partnership
The transition from a personal gesture to a formal collaboration began earlier in August. Cooper revealed that she had spent her time secretly fulfilling the baby registry lists of her followers. Motivated by the support she received during her own pregnancy, she felt a strong desire to return the favor. “You guys have been there for me during this process, and I want to do the same for you,” Cooper shared on social media, dubbing this phase of her life her “call her mother era.”
The response was overwhelming. After Cooper began purchasing everything from nursery essentials to furniture, her social media posts were flooded with thousands of comments from grateful parents sharing their stories of relief and excitement.
The Collaboration with Babylist
Building on this momentum, Cooper has officially teamed up with the registry platform Babylist. The partnership aims to provide resources and support for new parents as they navigate the complexities of their child's first year. According to Cooper, the collaboration is deeply personal:
«Clearing out registries was a way to thank the community for all their incredible support and advice. Reading their stories and seeing what that meant to them made me want to find a way for Unwell to keep paying that forward.»
Future Goals and Charitable Initiatives
The initiative, which launched this week, is structured to roll out in multiple phases. Plans for the collaboration include:
- Collecting direct feedback and stories from the community to better understand the needs of new parents.
- Continuing surprise gift-giving initiatives for expectant families.
- Collaborating with Pampers to provide additional behind-the-scenes resources.
- Working alongside Unwell to provide financial and material support to charitable organizations dedicated to pregnancy and early parenthood.
By blending her personal journey with Babylist’s expertise, Cooper hopes to create a more supportive environment for families during one of life's most transformative stages.
