A life-saving sonogram revealed the true culprit: a pair of ruptured breast implants. The technician found a slow leak in one implant and a complete rupture in the other, with silicone clogging her lymph nodes and preventing drainage from her face.
Glanville consulted 21 doctors during her ordeal. She was shocked, as the implants were nearly 20 years old and had appeared fine in previous checkups. She has since learned implants should be replaced every decade.
