Support Campaign Launched for Tenisha Warner
Destiny Rael, a close friend of Tenisha Warner for nearly two decades, has started a GoFundMe campaign to assist the widow of Malcolm-Jamal Warner. This initiative comes as Tenisha faces significant personal and financial challenges following the actor's death, compounded by an ongoing legal dispute over his estate.
In the campaign description, Rael stated: «I have been Tenisha Warner’s closest friend for 19 years. I am the one who first brought her and Malcolm-Jamal Warner together, and I have been beside her through everything since his tragic passing.»
The Challenges of Grief and Financial Strain
Rael highlighted the immense pressure Tenisha has been under, noting that the widow has been balancing single motherhood, the demands of homeschooling their nine-year-old daughter, and recovering from unexpected flooding in her home. According to Rael, the late actor had intended to update his estate plans to provide for his family but passed away before finalizing the documents.
«She is rebuilding not only her life without him, but the very home they created together,» Rael wrote. «Every room holds their memories, with no space to truly mourn, because the demands have never paused: legal matters that began within weeks of Malcolm’s passing, financial weight carried alone, a house to put back together, and their daughter to care for every single day.»
The fundraiser, which has a goal of $40,000, is intended to provide stability for Tenisha and her child while helping cover the costs associated with settling the actor's affairs.
Context of the Estate Dispute
The legal situation involves a dispute between Tenisha and her mother-in-law, Pamela Warner. Reports indicate that Tenisha filed a lawsuit against Pamela regarding a prenuptial agreement. Pamela Warner, who formerly acted as her son's manager, currently serves as the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust, which was established in 1996.
While Pamela has not addressed the lawsuit directly, she previously shared a message on social media marking the first anniversary of her son's passing, where she reflected on the «cruel, evil and greedy» nature she encountered during her year-long journey of grief, as well as the support she received.
Rael emphasized that the campaign is not meant to take sides in a family feud but rather to ensure the welfare of the late actor's wife and daughter: «I am asking you to stand with a grieving wife and mother, and her young daughter, so they don’t lose what Malcolm always intended to provide for them.»
