A Candid Look at Cosmetic Procedures

At 62, actor John Stamos is opening up about his views on aging and the cosmetic enhancements he has undergone throughout his career. During a recent appearance on the Really Good podcast, the Full House star shared his philosophy on maintaining his appearance, noting that while he wants to stay looking youthful, he draws a firm line at invasive procedures.

"I’m always around younger people, so I don’t want to look super old," Stamos explained. "I won’t do a facelift. I’ve used Botox in my forehead in the past, but it hasn’t been for a long time."

The Story Behind His Rhinoplasty

Stamos revealed that his history with plastic surgery dates back to his early days on the soap opera General Hospital. He explained that he underwent rhinoplasty after suffering a childhood injury involving a golf club.

The actor was initially dissatisfied with the outcome of his first surgery. Seeking a better result, he eventually turned to the same surgeon who was famous for treating Michael Jackson. He humorously clarified the outcome of that visit, stating, "He didn’t make me look like Michael Jackson."

Lifestyle Over Skincare

Despite his occasional use of non-invasive treatments, Stamos insists that his youthful appearance is primarily the result of his lifestyle rather than complicated beauty regimens. He credits his wife and their 8-year-old son, Billy, with keeping him energized and vibrant.

Regarding his daily routine, Stamos mentioned he prefers simplicity:

"I don’t do a lot. I wash my face, depending on if there’s some scrub around. I work out three or four times a week. I do this electric muscle-stimulant thing where you put a suit on for 20 minutes. But good sleep now is important. Having a young son helps."

Ultimately, Stamos believes that his family life and a focus on wellness have been the most significant factors in his continued longevity in Hollywood.
