Presley Gerber, the son of iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has passed away at the age of 27. Official records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that he died while staying at a rehabilitation facility on Sunday, September 20.
Following the news, the Crawford-Gerber family issued a formal statement: «The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.» According to local authorities, an autopsy is slated to take place on Monday, September 21.

Prior to this tragedy, Presley’s sister, Kaia, often spoke fondly of their upbringing in Malibu. She described a childhood deeply connected to the ocean and the local community, noting that the environment was relatively sheltered. «My brother would go surfing and then walk up to school in his wetsuit with his surfboard, barefoot,» Kaia recalled. She added that because there were limited transport options, their parents were heavily involved in their social lives, ensuring they stayed out of major trouble.

In previous public disclosures, Presley had been transparent about his personal challenges and his path to recovery. In a video recorded in a sauna, he discussed his medical regimen, which included Buprenorphine—a medication used to treat opioid use disorder—and low doses of Xanax for panic attacks.

His goal in sharing these details was to provide solace to others facing similar battles. «I’m hoping this reaches people in many ways… so you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time,» he stated. «I have a feeling if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it.»
