Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick recently opened up about his experience attending the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Speaking at the ACC Golf Championship in South Lake Tahoe on July 8, the 43-year-old shared his impressions of the high-profile ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

Fitzpatrick admitted that the event was a deeply moving occasion.

“Yes, and I may have cried. It was very emotional and also very fun and funny, too. So it had all the feels,”
he remarked during the event. It has been widely confirmed that Swift walked down the aisle to a string quartet arrangement of her 2008 hit song, “Love Story.”

In addition to sharing his personal experience, Fitzpatrick took the opportunity to clarify some of the circulating gossip regarding the wedding. He debunked claims that the couple's cats served as ring-bearers and dismissed the suggestion that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had tossed the rings to Kelce.

When asked about the emotional state of the groom, Fitzpatrick noted that Kelce appeared to be quite moved, though he playfully left some room for doubt. Regarding whether the star athlete shed tears, he commented, “You know, it was kind of far away. It might have been sweat that got in his eyes. I’m not sure, but yeah it was kind of far away, so I can’t tell you 100 percent.”

The wedding, which took place following the couple's engagement in 2025, hosted approximately 1,000 guests, including family and close friends. According to an official statement from Swift’s representative, the wedding party featured significant roles for the couple's siblings:
