A Stylish Start to Football Season
Football season has officially kicked off, and Simone Biles made sure to be front and center to support her husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens. The 29-year-old gymnastics icon shared her travel preparations on social media over the weekend, documenting her journey to Indianapolis to catch the Colts' season opener.
Owens, 31, joined the Colts back in March following his tenure with the Chicago Bears. For the team's home debut against the Baltimore Ravens, Biles turned heads with a customized outfit that perfectly captured the spirit of the game.
Game Day Fashion
Biles appeared at the stadium in a striking, deep-neck halter minidress in the Indianapolis Colts' signature blue. The ensemble was personalized with the name “Owens” embroidered across the front, while the back prominently displayed his jersey number, 38. She polished off the look with sleek, knee-high white boots and a subtle silver choker. Her stylist shared a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation, celebrating the “game day glam” for the star athlete.
Before the action began, the couple shared a tender moment on the sidelines, greeting each other with a kiss that caught the attention of spectators.
A Strong Partnership
The couple, who began their relationship in 2020, have become known for their mutual support of one another’s demanding athletic careers. Reflecting on their early days, which took place during the pandemic, Owens noted in a previous interview how the quiet period helped solidify their connection. “We used it to get to know each other—really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger,” he stated.
The support remains a two-way street. Regarding his wife's high-pressure gymnastics competitions, Owens shared his philosophy on being a supportive partner:
“It is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don’t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone. I just tell her, ‘Go do your thing, baby,’” Owens said.
He added that their relationship has had a positive impact on his own professional life, noting, “I’ve played a lot better since meeting Simone. I’ve just been focused and locked in.”
