The latest installment of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys highlighted a significant shift in the personal life of Steven McBee Jr. Only days after introducing his girlfriend, Allie Eklund, to his family in Missouri, the 33-year-old expressed a firm intention to propose, despite having only known her for a fortnight.
During a conversation with his sister-in-law, Alli McBee, and his brother Cole’s long-term partner, Kacie Adkison, Steven shared that his mother was already impressed with Allie. He confidently declared, «I’m about ready for a wedding. I’m marrying this one. I called it from day one.»
Family Skepticism
Steven's bold proclamation was met with immediate surprise. Kacie and Alli questioned the pace of the relationship, noting that the family had barely spent any time with Allie. Kacie argued, «You guys need to at least go through something to know if you guys are compatible.»
Steven, however, remained unbothered by their skepticism, suggesting that deep connections do not require years of dating. He even took a playful jab at his brother Cole and Kacie, who have been together for seven years without being married, asking, «Am I supposed to wait on Cole?»
The Reality of the Split
While the televised episodes capture the honeymoon phase of their relationship, viewers are aware that the romance between Steven and Allie did not stand the test of time. Six months after the filming period, the couple became embroiled in a public fallout in April, following allegations of infidelity at the Stagecoach Music Festival. Allie refuted these claims, while Steven later issued a public apology for his behavior during the dispute.
Reflections on the Breakup
Looking back, Steven admitted that watching the show has been emotionally taxing. In a recent statement, he opened up about the difficulty of viewing their happier moments on screen.
«Whenever I’m all in, I am all in, completely committed, loyal, faithful, and all in all the way. I don’t think you’re ever going to find full closure in a breakup. It’s hard to really look at it in a relationship where you thought you were going to end up engaged, married together for a long time, and then it literally ends overnight,» Steven shared.
