A Painful Rehearsal Incident
Dancing with the Stars professional Pasha Pashkov recently faced a literal test of endurance during rehearsals with his celebrity partner, Amber Glenn. The intensity of their training resulted in a bloody mishap caught on camera during the preparations for the show’s "Yacht Rock" episode.
While practicing their routine, the 26-year-old figure skater accidentally struck Pashkov, 40, in the face with her elbow. The immediate impact caused the pro dancer to grab his nose in visible pain, rushing to a mirror to assess the damage as blood began to drip. While Glenn looked on in distress, Pashkov attempted to remain composed, using a tissue to manage the bleeding.
The situation escalated briefly as Pashkov admitted to feeling "kind of nauseous" and lightheaded after applying an ice pack to his injury. Reflecting on the accident, a visibly emotional Glenn remarked:
«I’ve never been the cause of physical pain like that before. And I want to be cautious. I don’t know how to deal right now because I just want to wrap him in bubble wrap and send him on his way.»
Overcoming Adversity on the Ballroom Floor
Despite the frightening rehearsal incident, the pair did not let the injury hinder their performance. They successfully executed their foxtrot to Toto’s "Hold the Line," earning 8s across the board from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. This achievement marked the highest score of the season at that point.
Derek Hough praised the performance, noting the elegance and effortlessness with which the couple glided across the floor, labeling their routine as the one to beat for other competitors.
Road to Recovery
Following the live show, Pashkov provided an update on his condition to co-host Julianne Hough. He assured fans and the audience that he was recovering well, jokingly adding that he feels "tougher now" following the ordeal.
