A Grateful Farewell

After her recent elimination from the 35th season of Dancing With the Stars, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has opened up about her time on the show. Despite her early exit, the 56-year-old star emphasized that she holds no regrets and carries only positivity regarding the experience.

In a video posted to her Instagram on Wednesday, September 23, De Laurentiis expressed her sincere appreciation for the support she received throughout the competition. She specifically noted the impact of connecting with other mothers who shared their own stories, calling the interaction

“really, really, really inspiring.”

Embracing New Challenges

De Laurentiis shared that she felt a sense of pride in representing women in their 50s who are willing to step outside their comfort zones. Reflecting on the physical and mental demands of the show, she encouraged her audience to pursue activities that challenge them:

“Try something that scares you, because honestly guys, it is a rush.”

Although she admitted that her performance wasn't enough to keep her in the ballroom, she remained upbeat about the process. She gave special recognition to her professional dance partner, Alan Bersten, for his patience and for keeping her motivated throughout their brief time together.

Meaningful Moments

One of the highlights of the experience, according to the former Food Network host, was witnessing the pride of her 18-year-old daughter, Jade. Seeing her daughter's support while she was away at college provided a rewarding conclusion to her journey.

Concluding her message, De Laurentiis thanked her fans for the outpouring of direct messages and comments, stating that the support meant a great deal to her. For his part, Bersten also shared a warm tribute, posting a video of a farewell hug between the pair with a message thanking her for everything.
