Actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has revealed she uses a surprising alias when ordering her coffee. The star of "Never Have I Ever" shared this detail in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of her Pokémon Super Bowl commercial debut.

Ramakrishnan, 24, explained that constant mispronunciations of her real name led to the habit. "One hundred percent story of my life, especially with my first name," she said. She often hears creative variations, even for her last name, which some pronounce as "Rama-Christian."

To avoid the hassle, she now gives a simple fake name. "I usually just say my name is Blue at like a coffee shop. I'll just say Blue," she revealed.

Later in the conversation, Ramakrishnan d her main goal for the coming year: to become more comfortable with things outside her control. "I want to try and embrace the fact that, yeah, not everything is in my control," she stated. She emphasized focusing on tangible things she can influence.

However, she noted one thing firmly within her control is her social circle. "I know that I have good people around me. That's like super, super important," she said, adding she values genuine connections over "yes men."
