Actor James Lafferty announced via Instagram on Friday, April 17, that he and his wife, actress Alexandra Park, have welcomed their first child. The couple shared a black-and-white photo of their hands intertwined with their newborn's tiny hands.
Lafferty captioned the post, "Love has new meaning," revealing their son's name: River Jay Lafferty, born on December 4, 2025. The pair first met in 2015 when Lafferty directed episodes of "The Royals," where Park starred.
They got engaged in 2020 and married in a beachside ceremony in Hawaii in 2022. The couple has also worked together professionally, co-starring in the Hulu series "Everyone is Doing Great" in 2021.
