Request for Property Access

Joseph Duggar has officially petitioned the court for permission to manage maintenance work on several properties he owns. The request stems from a need to operate within 500 feet of an address previously linked to his alleged victim, a proximity currently restricted by his existing bond conditions.

According to legal filings submitted on May 18, Duggar's defense team provided context regarding the location, stating: «The alleged victim and her family have abandoned their residence, no longer residing at the previously listed address.»

Maintenance and Real Estate Portfolio

The 31-year-old reality personality identified six specific properties situated in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, that require immediate attention. Two of these sites are currently vacant. Duggar’s proposed work schedule includes a variety of improvements, such as:

  • Interior painting and carpet installation;
  • Sheetrock repairs and tile flooring replacements;
  • Exterior landscaping and lawn maintenance.

Legal Background and Bond Conditions

Duggar was released on a $600,000 bond on March 31. The conditions of his release strictly prohibit him from contacting the alleged victim and mandate that he cannot have unsupervised visits with any minors under the age of 18, including his own four children with his wife, Kendra Duggar.

In a separate filing submitted on May 17, his legal team requested an amendment to the no-contact order, specifically aiming to regain the ability to communicate with his biological children. The documents emphasize that the alleged victim in the criminal case is not among his own children.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings

The former reality star was taken into custody on March 18 following allegations of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim under the age of 12. Shortly thereafter, both Joseph and Kendra Duggar faced additional charges related to the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment. Both individuals have entered pleas of not guilty to the charges brought against them.
