A Caribbean Grand Opening to Remember
The pristine shores of Turks & Caicos recently played host to a glamorous event as Beaches Resorts celebrated the grand opening of its newest addition, Treasure Beach Village. The weekend-long festivities culminated on Saturday, May 16, with a spectacular party that featured a pink carpet, vibrant performances, and a surprise musical headliner.
The event drew an impressive roster of talent, including Chad Michael Murray, Kelly Bensimon, Jesse Eisenberg, Dorinda Medley, Sasha Pieterse, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Taye Diggs, Dave and Odette Annable, Bryan Greenberg, Jamie Chung, and Ross Matthews.
Entertainment and Atmosphere
The evening was a sensory delight, kicking off with performers in elaborate, oversized costumes. Following an introduction by Adam Stewart, executive chairman of Beaches Resorts, guests enjoyed a diverse entertainment lineup, ranging from choral performances by the Provo Inter High School Choir to high-energy circus acts, including fire breathers and the juggling troupe Jonglissimo.
The night reached its peak when American Authors took the stage as surprise guests. The band performed their signature anthem, “Best Day of My Life,” alongside a selection of popular covers and original hits, keeping the energy high among the celebrity attendees.
Celebrity Reflections on the Tropical Escape
For many stars, the trip was a rare chance to unwind and reconnect with family in a luxurious setting. Chad Michael Murray praised the resort's ability to cater to all ages, noting, “The ocean is the highlight. Feeling, floating, just taking it in. My kids are right here, and they’ve had the most incredible time.”
Other attendees highlighted the ease of the all-inclusive experience. Dorinda Medley remarked on the relief of a vacation free from daily responsibilities:
«It’s the most bizarre and wonderful thing. My whole life is just a daily bombarding of bills. This concept of coming here to just let go, relax, it almost makes you feel childlike.»
Parents in attendance, including Sasha Pieterse and Amanda Kloots, emphasized the joy of sharing the island’s beauty with their children. Kloots shared a heartwarming moment about her son’s first snorkeling experience, describing it as “a core memory being made.”
A Shared Experience
The event also served as a backdrop for long-overdue reunions, with former One Tree Hill costars Chad Michael Murray and Bryan Greenberg catching up over two decades after their show concluded. Whether it was the culinary variety, the stunning white-sand beaches, or the kid-friendly activities, the consensus among the stars was clear: the new Treasure Beach Village offers a rare, peaceful escape from the frantic pace of Hollywood life.
