A new book by royal historian Hugo Vickers alleges that Meghan Markle took over every aspect of Prince Harry's life after their 2018 marriage. According to excerpts obtained by Page Six, observers noted Harry's speeches took on a "Californian ring" and were vetted by Meghan.

Vickers claims Harry appeared "uncomfortable" and unhappy in 2019, describing him as a man who had "bitten off more than he could chew." The book details tensions, including an incident where Meghan was reportedly "rude" to a gardener at Windsor, prompting Queen Elizabeth II to personally reprimand her.

The tell-all also states Meghan made demands when they moved into Frogmore Cottage, such as refusing to have cars visible from their home. It suggests Harry was "reluctant" to leave royal life in 2020, despite the couple's joint decision to step back as senior royals and seek financial independence.
