The younger brother of 'Survivor' host Jeff Probst, Scott Probst, has passed away.

Brent Probst announced the news on Instagram on Monday, May 11. He wrote: “Some sad news, our brother Scott is no longer with us. He was a great brother, son and friend. I will miss him so much ❤️ I’m so sad he is gone.”

Former 'Survivor' contestants expressed their condolences in the comments. Adam Klein said, “I am so terribly sorry Brent. Sending love to you and your whole family.” Kendra McQuarrie added, “So so sorry for your loss🩵 sending lots of love to the family.”

A cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, and Jeff Probst has not yet commented on his brother’s death.

Jeff, the oldest of three brothers, previously worked with Scott on 'Survivor.' According to Scott’s IMDb page, he served as an art assistant from 2006 to 2008 and as a cameraman from 2011 to 2012.

Jeff has hosted 'Survivor' since its premiere in 2000. The show is currently airing its 50th season, with fan-favorite contestants competing for the $1 million prize.

Jeff has acknowledged that he may not host every future season. He explained, “We stay inside the tiny little box that is the format of Survivor, but once you step inside that tiny little box, you realize the space is enormous. You can try all kinds of things.” He added, “I really do think it goes on, and I hope that even if I’m not hosting, maybe there’s a way I can still be involved because I love this show.”
